Planning Your Kitchen? Here’s What to Think About

When it comes to designing a kitchen, electrical planning is just as important as layout and finishes. Before the build starts, it's essential to think about how you’ll use the space every day.

Powerpoint placement should suit your workflow – where will your kettle, toaster, or blender go? Consider hidden powerpoints in cupboards for charging stations or appliances you don’t want on show.

Lighting also plays a major role. You’ll want a combination of bright task lighting (like downlights over benches and the cooktop) and softer ambient lighting to create a warm, inviting feel. Don’t forget about LED strip lighting under cabinetry – it adds both function and style, especially at night.

Good planning now means a kitchen that’s not only beautiful, but practical and safe. We help clients think through all the small details so nothing’s missed when it’s time to wire up.
